apibrėžtis Technikas, kuris, dažniausiai statybos inžinieriaus vadovaujamas ir prižiūrimas, atlieka techninio pobūdžio užduotis, susijusias su įvairių statinių (pastatų, tiltų, užtvankų ir pan.) statyba ir kelių tiesyba. Jis dalyvauja rengiant projektus, atliekant topografinius statybvietės matavimus, gruntų ir statybinių medžiagų bandymus, planuojant statybos darbų eigą ir įvertinant statybos kainą, prižiūrint statybos darbus.
